This includes a power saving, high efficiency pump, an electronic expansion valve and a compressor with output-dependent control, which are all matched to each other. Furthermore, since the Vitocal 200-A heat pump operates very quietly thanks to its sound-optimised design, it can be installed and operated close to the living space without a second thought. If required, the air source heat pump can be switched to night mode. This reduces the sound level to a minimum. Vitocal 200-A – air source heat pump for indoor installation
Energy efficient construction requires special heating technology to meet the statutory requirements for building envelopes. The Vitocal 200-A modulating air source heat pump for indoor installation is designed for this purpose and achieves flow temperatures of up to 60 °C with an air intake temperature of 5 °C. On hot summer days, it can also be operated in reverse to cool the rooms.

The Vitocal 200-A air source heat pump for indoor installation has an extremely compact design. With a width x length of only 700 x 800 mm, it takes up very little space. The monoblock technology used allows for easy handling and quick installation. In addition, a variable speed fan and a compressor with multiple anti-vibration mounts ensure low operating noise. Last but not least, it can be optimally combined with a mechanical ventilation unit, enabling it to provide heat and fresh air at the same time.
The Vitocal 200-A for indoor installation operates particularly economically in partial load operation. To this end, the appliance makes full use of the benefits offered by its inverter-controlled compressor. By varying its speed, the compressor adjusts the output of the heat pump to the heat demand of the building, saves electricity and ensures the highest possible seasonal performance factor. The variable speed, power saving, high efficiency pump for the heating circuit and the DC fan also contribute to economical operation.
The Vitocal 200-A achieves energy efficiency class A++ for heating in accordance with Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) No 811/2013 – both for low temperature applications of 35 °C and medium temperature applications of 55 °C. This efficiency is also reflected in the high COP to EN 14511: up to 4.8 at 7 °C air temperature and 35 °C water temperature, or 3.8 at 2 °C air temperature and 35 °C water temperature.

Heating and cooling – with electricity from a photovoltaic system if installed
The Vitocal 200-A is optimised for the use of solar power. This is particularly cost effective with photovoltaic self-generated power. On summer days, the solar modules produce large amounts of electricity that often cannot be used in the home. They would have to be exported to the public grid in exchange for only a small remuneration. This surplus solar power can be used on site by the Vitocal 200-A for cooling the building, for example.
EHPA Quality Label
The EHPA Quality Label serves as proof of the COP (coefficient of performance). The German EHPA Quality Label Committee has confirmed that Viessmann's Vitocal 200-A heat pump meets EHPA Quality Label requirements.
